Yelawolf aka Michael Wayne Atha, is an Alabama born billy bad boy who is signed to Eminem's record label Shady Records. Trunk Muzik 0-60 is mixtape album and his first studio album  Radioactive, will be released this summer.

Ok, now that you guys know a little more about the freshman. Its time for the review. Production vise this album is bangin. No bullshit here, no songs for the ladies. Straight up get your ass in the truck and turn up the music. First song Get the f**k up pretty much sums the album up.

His flow impresses me the most, he has an unique rapping style. Reminds me of Bizzy Bone from Bone Thugs N Harmony. Fast, crisp and smart metaphors. The songs are few only 12 and so is the guest artists. This brings me to the next song. I just wanna party featuring Gucci Mane. Gucci Mane delivers a surprisingly strong verse in “I Just Want To Party

One of my favorites is definitely Billy Crystal feat.Rock City. Great storytelling about young billy boy doing what he does best. The Hook and beat on this is awesome. Thumps up for high tech redneck billy boy ;)
Pop The Trunk doesn't really need an introduction. The first single of the album and probably his biggest hit yet. Just overall great delivery, his flow is sick.
Good To Go feat Bun B, beat (!) is bangin. And  Bun B bites Yelawolf’s rapid-fire flow successfully in “Good To Go”. Already a huge hit in the streets.
Finally album slows down a little on the song Love Is not enough smooth, chill 80's beat. Great song for cruising.
Album finishes with the two best songs on the album. I wish featuring Raekwon  is just straight up on some gangsta shit. There is already and official remix of it, you can see the official video here

Last song is Trunk Muzik, I have to say this is my favorite. Yelawolf impressively varies his flow on almost every track to mesh with whatever beat he’s rapping over. You can really tell Yelawolf is going somewhere with this outro song. I have to give props to the beat also. It's hypnotic meets smooth in perfect harmony.

Overall Yelawolf’s mixtape-turned-album Trunk Muzik: 0 – 60 is quietly being released to little fanfare. Although it’s not being advertised as much as other artists, it’s still a great debut from a potential superstar in the making.
Yes a superstar in the making, and I can't wait for the first official studio album this summer. Make sure to give this one a listen and look out for Alabamas  billy bad boy.

Charlo gives this 4/5
